WOW! I'm Published in the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine

I'm not sure just how much more excited I could be right now.

My layout "You're Out" was published in the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine.

There, as big as life, is Richard sporting his broken bones on page 126 of the Spring 2015 issue.

The category I entered my layout into was called "Polaroids Are Back!" and I took the pictures using my Instax Wide camera that I had gotten as a birthday gift just hours before Richard had his mishap. It seemed like the perfect occasion to try out my new toy. Glad I did.

Canadian Scrapbooker is a great magazine. I get mine by subscription so it arrives a few days before it goes on sale in stores. It's full of layouts from which I've been known to "scraplift". Being a new scrapbooker I like the tips and tricks, especially the ones using ink. I'm still in that 'more ink on me than on the page stage' so any hints help. LOL

Watch the 'submissions' section on the web-site to see what the categories are going to be for the Fall 2015 issue.

Did I mention I was EXCITED !!!!!! ?

Frosted Flakes

My great-niece Ashlynn just loves the outdoors and Mommy and Daddy are right there in the thick of things with her.
In this particular instance someone thought it would be fun to go tubing even though it was a really cold day.
It looks to me like they were having so much fun they didn't even feel the cold.
The look on Ashlynn's face tells of the successful family time they had together.

The sketch is one from Scrapmuch? designed by Laura Whitaker. It was perfect for all the pictures I wanted to use. Nothing is worse than having more pictures than layout space. LOL

You can still post your entry using this sketch until the end of the month. You might find just yourself the winner of the February random draw.

I had lots of fun with embellishments on this layout.
This is the first time I've done a layout with 100% of the materials, other than ink, from my Scrapmuch Kit Club package.
This kit is from January 2015. It's so great to have a kit arrive in your mailbox every month. It sure makes the first of the month something to look forward to.

Cupcake Wishes

Birthday's are so much fun. We had a great dinner and lots of fun celebrating Erica's birthday this year.

She wore her 'birthday hat' like a trooper and her reward was lots of cupcakes and candles.

The sketch for this layout came from Stuck?! and was designed by Laura Whitaker. I combined it with the Scrapmuch? colour challenge. The challenge colours were perfect for Erica's pink and white birthday. You can create your own layout and post it at Stuck?! or Scrapmuch? until the end of the month to be entered into the challenges. You might win a prize!

North Pole

Don't they look like they're having a great time at the North Pole?

How could they not with all the sweets and toys there, let alone the steaming mugs of hot chocolate.

This is my second reveal as a DT member for Stick it Down. I loved working with this sketch. I had so many possible ways to interpret the sketch that it took me a while to pick a direction to go in. I'm sure you'll enjoy working with it. You have until the end of the month to upload your layout and be in the running for a prize.

Embellishments are always fun and with this sketch there were lots of opportunities to 'dress it up'.

I hope to see your layout posted at Stick it Down.
